Biography

Marc-André Hamelin, OC, OQ (born September 5, 1961) is a Canadian virtuoso pianist and composer. Known for his exceptional musicianship and brilliant technique, he is one of the most respected pianists in the classical music field. Hamelin has received 11 Grammy Award nominations and is on the faculty of the New England Conservatory of Music. He has recorded numerous albums, including original works and transcriptions, and has collaborated with prestigious labels such as Hyperion Records.
