Kataklysm is a Canadian death metal band from Montreal, Quebec, formed in 1991. The band started with a demo tape titled The Mystical Gate Cycle of Reincarnation. Over the years, Kataklysm has established a significant presence in the international music scene, having released a total of fifteen studio albums, two EPs, and two DVDs. In 2016, they received their first Juno Award for Best Album of the Year in the "Heavy Metal" category for their album Of Ghosts and Gods. The band is signed to Nuclear Blast and continues to influence the genre with their powerful and melodic music.
