Biography
Pierre Garand, known by his stage name Garou, was born on June 26, 1972, in Sherbrooke, Quebec. He is a Canadian singer and actor, recognized for his role as Quasimodo in the musical Notre-Dame de Paris in 1998. He launched his solo career in 2000 with the album Seul and has released nine studio albums and one live album. Garou has been a regular member of the Les Enfoirés troupe since 1999. He served as a coach on The Voice in France from 2012 to 2014 and again in 2016, and on La Voix in Quebec in 2018 and 2020. He will return to television for the eighth season of Star Académie in winter 2024.
