Gabrielle Shonk is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Providence, Rhode Island, raised in Quebec City. She received a Juno Award nomination for Adult Alternative Album of the Year at the 2019 Juno Awards for her self-titled debut album. Although she is bilingual, she writes almost exclusively in English, influenced primarily by anglophone music. Her debut album, released in late 2017, includes three French-language songs co-written with Patrick Sauvageau. Gabrielle was a competitor on the second season of La Voix in 2014 but was eliminated after losing a duel round. In 2023, she released her second album, "Across the Room," described as a deeply personal and lucid record.
