Félix Leclerc (August 2, 1914 – August 8, 1988) was a Québécois singer-songwriter, poet, writer, actor, and political activist. He was a pioneer of Québécois poetic song, with works closely tied to nature and territory. He advocated for Quebec's independence and the defense of the French language.
