Bran Van 3000 (also known as BV3) is a Canadian alternative rock and hip hop collective from Montreal, Quebec. Founded by James Di Salvio and E.P. Bergen, they released five albums: Glee, Discosis, Rosé, The Garden, and Wilshire Boulevard - Bran Van 3000 Greatest Hits, blending various musical styles including electro, rock, and rap. Notable collaborators include Stéphane Moraille, Sara Johnston, Jean Leloup, and Kim Bingham. The group's name is derived from the Swedish term 'Brännvin', referring to distilled spirits, and originated as a joke about Bergen's Volkswagen Camper Van.
