Oliver Jones

Biography

Oliver Theophilus Jones, born September 11, 1934, in Montreal, is a Canadian jazz pianist, organist, composer, and arranger. He has had a prolific career in jazz and is recognized for his contributions to Canadian music. In 2023, he was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. He has received several honors, including the title of Officer of the Order of Canada and the Juno Award for Traditional Jazz Album of the Year twice. Jones has released numerous albums, solidifying his reputation in the jazz community.
