Background
Whitney Tai

Whitney Tai's signature sound of electro-pop, rock, and alternative metal is powered by her nuanced, soaring vocals. After a pop-leaning debut, Metamorphosis, in 2015 with Producer Tim Janssens, they reinforced this sound on 2020's Apogee. Apogee has won multiple awards in the Palm Beach International Music festival judged by Arturo Sandoval, Jon Secada & Al Di Meola. The NYC-native has crafted music from age seven but after losing her mother to cancer at age 10, she channeled her creativity into a BFA in architectural design. The EP “Forever” appeared in 2016 & then 2017’s “Shockwave.” While working as a designer and care taker to her ill grandfather, he succumbed to a fatal heart condition. Tai moved to LA, began booking shows and took his advice to not give up her dream. Tai headlined NAMM in 2020 & released the award-winning 'Apogee' that June. It was produced, engineered, & mixed by Janssens. Legendary Boston programmer, DJ Oedipus calls Tai “an artist who defies categorization.”
