Daniel Takes A Train

Biography - Biography

Last year, reformed 80's guitar pop band Daniel Takes A Train suddenly found themselves without any new songs or a venue in which to play their old ones. So for want of anything better to do, they experimented with a series of remotely recorded soft rock cover versions, the stand-out for them being Al Stewart's 1976 prog rock masterpiece Year Of The Cat. A few months later, and with the chance to return to a proper recording studio, the band have transformed this age-old classic into an epic club floor filler, ideal for an Ibiza pool party or balmy August night below the stars. Production is by veteran producer Pat Collier who engineered the monster summer hit Walking On Sunshine for Katrina and the Waves. Since getting back together in 2018 after Firestation Records, Germany, released their posthumous debut album Style, Charm and Commmotion, the London five-piece have released a second album Last Ticket To Tango. This won the band many new fans and critical praise from as far afield as Mexico, USA, Canada and Japan. Soon to follow was the 3 track EP Songs For the Broken Hearted with dance/electro pop remixer OKJames. In May 2021 it was streamed an extraordinary 4K+ times in just 24 hours!
