Biography

Story

Jan Jelinek is a German electronic musician who also operates under the names Farben, Gramm, and The Exposures, among others. Based in Berlin since 1995, he specializes in minimal techno, microhouse, and glitch. His music is characterized by deep basslines and extensive use of samples from earlier jazz recordings from the 1960s and 1970s, particularly in his most well-known work, Loop-finding-jazz-records.

His music has evolved over time: initially percussive, it has become more avant-garde with the establishment of his own label, Faitiche, in 2008. Jan Jelinek has released several albums, including "Take me, I'm yours" in 2026 and "Social Engineering" in 2024.
