Iconic musician Emad Hamdy has won numerous international awards, titles and accolades during his musical career. Hamdy was dubbed the “Number 1 musician in Egypt and the Middle East” by Yamaha Corporation in Japan and was chosen as the region's representative (YAMAHA ARTIST).

Prominent guitarist Emad Hamdy graduated from the Royal British Academy of Music, while his musical repertoire has spread from the Egyptian Opera to the world.

Hamdy has built an impressive international reputation as a classical guitarist. The music press included him in the Pantheon of the best guitarists in the world. Anyone who has attended one of his countless concerts will readily agree with this assessment.

This world-class musician has achieved what few people accomplish these days: the perfect harmony between expertise, musicality and perception. This distinguished guitarist is often heard performing chamber works, recitals and orchestral works.

Hamdy is the first Egyptian guitarist to have played a guitar concerto with the Cairo Symphony Orchestra since 1988 until today. The world-renowned musician has created and mastered countless unique classical chamber ensembles for the first time in Egypt, including guitar duets with violin, flute, cello, soprano, percussion, oud and piano.

Hamdy is the founder of the only and largest guitar school in Egypt that teaches and masters guitar and fundamental music academically at the Cairo Opera House and the American University in Cairo.

In addition, Hamdy offers an astonishing repertoire of original arrangements of several classical works as well as Spanish dances, Argentine tangos and Latin American folk songs.

New York Radio in the United States awarded iconic Egyptian musician Emad Hamdy the 2019 Oscar for Best Music.
