Lenny Solomon (born September 28, 1952) is a Canadian jazz, pop, and classical violinist and composer from Toronto. An active studio musician, he has performed on hundreds of recordings and soundtracks. He has recorded two jazz albums: "After You've Gone" and "The Gershwin Sessions". Solomon has appeared as a guest soloist with various orchestras, including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, and has served as concertmaster for theatrical productions. He has been awarded The Jazz Report's Violinist of the Year award three times. In 1969, he co-founded the Canadian folk-pop group Myles and Lenny, which won the 1976 Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year. In the 1980s, he formed the pop string quintet Quintessence and toured Canada during that decade. In the 1990s, he toured with the Lenny Solomon Trio, focusing on jazz violin.
