Ezra Schabas, (April 24, 1924 – October 12, 2020) was a Canadian musician, educator, and author. He emigrated from Cleveland with his family in 1952 and became a prominent figure in Canada's musical life. Based in Toronto, he was a leading musical educator and clarinetist, contributing significantly to various musical institutions. Schabas authored several books on Canadian and American musical history. He was appointed to the Order of Ontario and made a Member of the Order of Canada.
