Story
At the Gates is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1990. The band was a progenitor of the mid-90s Gothenburg Sound alongside Dark Tranquillity and In Flames. Initially active until 1996, they reunited in 2007 for a tour, disbanded again in 2008, but reformed in December 2010 and have continued to perform.
In late 2014, the band released At War with Reality, 19 years after their previous album, followed by To Drink from the Night Itself in 2018. Their discography also includes landmark albums such as Slaughter of the Soul (1995) and The Nightmare of Being (2021). At the Gates is featured in KracRadio's programming with the track "Death And The Labyrinth" from the album "Redefining Extremes (Sampler)".
