Ma Critique / My Review
French
What struck me immediately was the length of this song: 5 minutes and 41 seconds. The biggest problem with a song this long is to avoid repetition, otherwise the listener's brain can fall into a kind of comatose state when it's always the same "loop" over and over again. As far as this song is concerned, it starts with a very catchy rhythm and we can feel that the whole thing is slowly building up, so we're clearly dealing with a progressive song. By the 30-second mark, we can already get an idea of what the song is going to sound like. So there's a nice variation in sound, followed by a voice that really sets the mood. Would Mr. Campo have had more to gain by shortening the song by a minute? I think so, but I understand that there were a lot of elements to bring in. I strongly advise the remixer to listen to this song carefully, as there are some great possibilities. In conclusion, a lovely song to listen to with friends and good wine.
