Hate It Too was born in 2008, on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in Trois-Pistoles, Quebec. The group, which was initially just a hobby for these high school kids, turned out to be a more serious project in early 2010. In the summer of 2012, the group moved to Quebec and recorded his first release: “It’s About Time,” which was released in November later that year. The EP was made up of the quartet's best tracks since its inception. At the dawn of 2013, the group newly moved to Quebec began working on their first full album. It took almost two years – and a change of bassist – for the group to begin recording their first big project, Purple Mountains. This debut album was released on August 18, 2015. Hate It Too promoted the album across the province and began working on new opportunities for their music. Purple Mountains, along with the EP, have sold many copies in different locations in Europe, Asia, South America and of course North America. The guys have shared the stage with international artists such as Gob, Bigwig, Seaway, A Wilhelm Scream, Swingin' Utters, Bigwig, Seaway, Pears, The Brains, Mute, Dance Laury Dance, Sandveiss, Cobra Skulls, and the list goes on . It was in 2020 that the band decided to join forces with the Montreal label Hell For Breakfast.
