Waxahatchee is an American music project formed in 2010 by singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield, following the breakup of her previous band P.S. Eliot. The project is named after Waxahatchee Creek in Alabama, where Crutchfield grew up. Waxahatchee primarily operates within the indie rock, indie folk, and alternative rock genres, and has released several albums, including American Weekend (2012), Cerulean Salt (2013), Ivy Tripp (2015), Out in the Storm (2017), Saint Cloud (2020), and Tigers Blood (2024).
Waxahatchee's music has been featured on KracRadio, with tracks such as "Oxbow", "Hell", "Witches", "War", and "Can't Do Much" from the album Saint Cloud. The project has carved out a niche in the independent music scene with its introspective songwriting and distinctive style.
