He gained fame in the late 2000s with his debut EP, My World (2009), which received international acclaim and established him as a teen idol. His first studio album, My World 2.0 (2010), topped the US Billboard 200, making him the youngest solo male to achieve this in 47 years. The lead single, "Baby," became one of the best-selling singles in the US.
