Dessau is an American industrial rock band formed in Nashville in 1980. The band was founded by John Elliott, who worked with a revolving cast of musicians over the years. Dessau released two studio albums: "Exercise in Tension" in 1989 and "Dessau" in 1995, along with an EP in 1996 titled "Voïvod / Dessau". Their music is characterized by a blend of EBM and industrial rock.
Dessau has also been featured in KracRadio's programming with the track "Suffer" included in the 2014 free digital sampler from WTII Records. The band continues to have an influence in the genre, although their activity has been less frequent in recent years.
