Berlin-based industrial-electro outfit Combichrist is back with a new digital single, “Feraline”, released via Out Of Line Music. The track follows the 2025 singles “Desolation” and “RISE”, and marks the third teaser from the band’s forthcoming studio album, expected in 2026.
Frontman Andy LaPlegua presents Feraline as a spiritual and instinctive figure – a goddess tied to the raw forces of nature. The song explores the idea of reconnecting with one’s wild, untamed side as a way of escaping the constraints of modern society and finding a deeper sense of freedom.
Musically, “Feraline” dives into dark, primal territory: pounding beats, distorted electronics and a pulsing, club-ready groove that bridges Combichrist’s harsh industrial roots with a more contemporary, sleek production. It’s designed for the dancefloor, clearly aimed at goth, industrial and dark electro nights, while still carrying the band’s signature aggression.
Tours & upcoming shows
The release of Feraline comes on the heels of a busy live year for the band. In 2025, Combichrist completed an Australian tour and a European run built around an old-school electro set, revisiting the more classic side of their catalogue. One final 2025 date is confirmed for 19 December at Reithalle Dresden in Germany.
For 2026, Combichrist are already locked in for several major events:
E-Tropolis Festival 2026 – Turbinenhalle, Oberhausen (Germany), 28 March 2026, where they’ll present an oldschool electronic set alongside acts such as Ultra Sunn, Faderhead, Neuroticfish and Welle:Erdball.
Dark Force Fest 2026 – Parsippany, New Jersey (USA), 1–3 May 2026, sharing the bill with London After Midnight, Front Line Assembly, Das Ich, Leaether Strip, LaPlegua, Ultra Sunn, Rabbit Junk, Priest, Pig and more. About Combichrist
Combichrist is an aggrotech / industrial metal project founded in 2003 in Atlanta, Georgia, by Norwegian vocalist and producer Andy LaPlegua (Ole Anders Olsen). Before launching Combichrist, LaPlegua was active in several Norwegian hardcore and electronic acts, including My Right Choice, Lash Out and the futurepop project Icon of Coil.
Originally conceived as a studio vehicle for harsher electronics, Combichrist started with LaPlegua as the sole studio member and a rotating live line-up. The debut album “The Joy of Gunz” (2003, Out Of Line) and its follow-up “Everybody Hates You” (2005) quickly gained traction in clubs, with tracks like “This Shit Will Fuck You Up” and “This Is My Rifle” defining an early, brutal sound sometimes described as “techno body music” (TBM).
The 2006 EP “Get Your Body Beat” yielded a single that entered the Billboard Dance Singles chart, opening the project to a wider audience. Combichrist then released “What the Fk Is Wrong With You People?”** (2007) and “Today We Are All Demons” (2009), supported by intense touring that included European support slots for Rammstein and a notable appearance at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Throughout the 2010s, albums like “No Redemption” (2013), “We Love You” (2014) and “This Is Where Death Begins” (2016) pushed the project into a heavier hybrid of electronics and guitars. “One Fire” landed in 2019, while the double album “CMBCRST” (2024) showcased a later-era studio vision with tracks such as “Children of Violence”, “Compliance” and “Only Death Is Immortal”, underlining the band’s ongoing evolution.
Combichrist’s live line-up has changed regularly over the years, featuring musicians like Joe Letz, Z. Marr, Eric13, Elliott Berlin, Brent Ashley and Dane White, among others, helping shape a reputation for high-energy, physically intense shows that blur the lines between industrial rave and metal concert.
